Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ecommerce Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about ecommerce and possesses expert-level knowledge of Xero bookkeeping. You will be responsible for managing bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and handling multi-currency transactions across platforms like Stripe, Amazon, and PayPal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and currencies.
- Accurately manage accounts payable and receivable for ecommerce clients.
- Handle bookkeeping for transactions from platforms including Stripe, Amazon, PayPal, Shopify, and others.
- Ensure smooth integration and use of ecommerce plug-ins and tools with Xero.
- Maintain compliance with UK bookkeeping standards.
- Assist with preparing financial reports and analysis.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in an ecommerce-focused role.
- Expert knowledge of Xero, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ecommerce platforms (Amazon, eBay, Shopify, etc.) and payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal).
- Strong understanding of multi-currency transactions and reconciliations.
- Experience with ecommerce integrations and plug-ins (e.g., A2X, Dext, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Xero or bookkeeping is a plus.
- Prior experience working with a UK-based accounting firm or ecommerce business.
