Technical Product Engineer (Performance Testing)
Responsibilities:
· Perform a wide range of activities on Trend Micro and Competitor products including technical market research, technical requirements and competitive analysis, solution implementation, and benchmark and effectiveness testing
· Participate as a member of the Commercial Technical Product Engineering team engaged in design and creation of technical marketing materials for Sales and Sales Engineers to positively influence the sale activities
· Own the responsibility, success and deliverables of technical marketing collaterals
· Candidate must be able to identify and resolve customer engagement issues; escalate if appropriate. = Customer (and Reseller) satisfaction focused.
· Help to ensure individual, team and segment objectives and goals are achieved.
· Demonstrate knowledge in one or more Trend Commercial and Competitor products areas and be capable of installation, configuration, administration in pursuit of the knowledge to reverse engineer it features, functions, and capabilities in the creation of technical marketing materials to effectively educate Sales / Sales Engineers and Marketing
· Following the appropriate document template create the technical marketing material that details 2-3 Key Selling features to allow Sales / Sales Engineers and Marketing to compete effectively in a competitive situation
· Have the capabilities of independent study, research, and authoring competitive technical marketing documents
· Have the capabilities to work with more senior Technical Product Engineers to perform installation, tests, and benchmarks in a technical lab environment. Be able to follow the test plans in benchmark and performance analysis
· Must be capable of delivering assignments on-time, within budget, and with high-quality deliverables and professionalism
· Must be flexible for occasional travel.
Requirements:
· 2-3 years working in hardware and software IT industry as a technical
· Expert experience at a system administrator level with major Operating Systems (Windows, UNIX, iOS and Android platforms)
· Expert experience at a networking level is a strong plus. For example, routers, switches, firewalls, load-balancers, authentication, web servers.
· Experience in test software and/or hardware, such as WebBench, Silk Performer, Netpressure, is a strong plus.
· Excellent time management and communication skills.
· Expert experience on Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
· Experience on Web or HTML tools
· Strong document authoring skills
· Must be able to work independently and effectively; be flexible with working with peers and others in their time zones
· Must have excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; be able to present technical marketing material to live audiences or via WebEx
· One or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CCNP, CCSP, MCSE, etc.
Desirable Skills:
· Expert experience and knowledge on the following: Antivirus, Anti-spam, Anti-spyware, Anti-pharming, Anti-phishing, and Security Content Management products.
