Job Description
Systems Administrator
Responsibilities:
· Maintenance of Windows servers owned and operated within PH BA team
· Troubleshoot Windows server problems dealing with performance, system hardware problems, network problems and application issues.
· Makes recommendations on performance, reliability, security and scalability by improving internal processes and making recommendations on new hardware, and software
· Work with technical teams to understand hardware and environment requirements and provide recommendations to support project/system needs.
· Mentor junior engineers
· Independent problem solver and capable of working on their own with little supervision
· Development of policy and procedures
· Work on special projects as needed
Requirements:
· 3-5 years experience in supporting and maintaining enterprise level servers running in Windows environment
· Hands on experience in installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of hardware and software related issue
· MCSA, MCSE level certification a big plus
· Practical skills in Linux server administration (RedHat, Debian, CentOS), a Big plus
· Knowledge on the following:
· Windows Server Administration
· IIS Administration
· SQL Server Administration (Installation & Configuration, and basic DBA tasks)
· Windows Networking
· Windows 2003/2008 and AD knowledge
· Monitoring tools
· DNS knowledge
· VMWare ESX/ESXi/Storage knowledge
· Strong team player with proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
· Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
· Ability to work in virtual teams (w/ offshore team members)
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Ability to communicate professionally in English
· Ability to communicate professionally in Mandarin is a plus
· Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
· Demonstrated career progression to date
