Sr. Technical Marketing Writer
Responsibilities:
The Senior Technical Marketing Writer creates content aligned to specific marketing strategies and campaigns that will market the following: Trend MicroTM products, and the expertise and services offered by TrendLabsSM. Specifically, the Senior Technical Marketing Writer will work as part of a team of marketers/campaign leaders, other writers, editors, and graphic artists, and will take on the following responsibilities:
- Promote TrendLabs as the Trend Micro center for security expertise by coming up with marketing content that highlight both real-time threat discoveries and long-term research
- Create various marketing assetssuch as blog entries, infographics, feature articles, data reports, datasheets, and marketing kitsthat discuss recent malware and security incidents, threat trends, Trend Micro core technologies, and Trend Micro products that protect users from said threats
- Formulate and drive security stories that complement the campaigns and other marketing activities of global and regional marketing groups
- Coordinate with local and overseas teams in Trend Micro to gather technical details about threats, data indicators, and Trend Micro solutions
Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience in writing marketing collaterals
- At least 3 years experience in editing/copyediting
- At least 2 years experience in web content writing
- Strong creative writing skills in English required, strong technical writing skills an advantage
- Project management experience with coordination skills a plus
- High interest and proficiency in computing, the Web, and surrounding technologies
- Knowledge in HTML, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign an advantage
- Creative, and ability to express ideas with confidence a plus
- College degree (preferably in Marketing, Communications, or the Arts)
