Full-Time - Supervisory General Ledger Accountant
Job Description
Responsible for monitoring of Company Receivables the opening and closing of a calendar period, adding VLI accounts and buses into the Accounting System. The position is accountable for creating journal entries and assembling supporting documentation as well as for tracking contents of various accounts. Assists the Chief Accountant in the production of Financial Reports.
- Maintain and monitor the subsidiary ledgers of all Receivables account of the company namely: account receivable, SSS sickness advances and advances of officers and advances to affiliated companies. Issues and sends the corresponding Statement of Accounts monthly
- Monitors movement of Investments and Advances from Officers account including the accurate computation of the corresponding interest
- Enter manual journal entries/adjusting entries prepared by various accounting staff and post the same to the Oracle System once approved by the Chief Accountant/President and General Manager
- Extract balances from the general ledger and subsidiary ledger and prepares monthly schedule and year-to-date expenses per department/section and submit to Chief Accountant.
- Maintain detailed listings of the content of all the contents of Balance Sheet Accounts
- Prepare monthly Trial Balance and Consolidated Balance Sheet and submit the same to the Chief Accountant
- Prepares yearly audit requirements and assists external auditors in conducting the Annual Financial Audit
- Performs other related duties that may be assigned or required by the job.
- Open and closing of calendar period of Purchasing, Inventory, AP Manager, and GL Modules and adding VLI buses and VLI accounts into the Acumatica system
– A degree in Accountancy or a graduate in BS Accounting Technology
– Preferably with CPA license
– With 5-year experience in financial recording and bookkeeping or as General ledger clerk
– With strong problem-solving skills, communication skills and knowledge in technical accounting functions
– Good in working with numbers and making calculations with minimal errors
– Have strong eye for errors and inconsistencies
– With high level of integrity and professionalism
