Full-Time - Staff Business Process Analyst

Job Description

Responsibilities:

The Business Process Analyst is responsible for the following throughout the development lifecycle of business applications for Trend Micro:

  1. Work closely with various business teams within Trend Micro including but not limited to: Technical Support, Sales, Marketing, Core Tech., etc. in the following areas:
    1. Participation & assistance in facilitating requirement gathering & design workshops
    2. Facilitate communication with business teams (e.g. regular & ad-hoc meetings, conference calls, webex sessions, etc.)
    3. Conduct analysis of business processes for the specified business area
    4. Facilitate design build reviews
    5. Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions
    6. Facilitate training for trainers and/or end-users for new systems
  2. Work with project team (project manager, BPAs, QAs & tech team members) to deliver the following documentation on main modules of a system:
    1. Gap Analysis
    2. Requirements Documentation
    3. Business Process Model
    4. Functional Design documentation
    5. Change Request Forms
    6. Training Materials
    7. Quality Assurance Scenarios

Additional responsibilities of the Business Process Analyst include:

  1. Provide L2 support to end-users with production system issues
  2. Conduct peer review of BPA & QA documentation
  3. Conduct exploratory application testing
  4. Deployment support (application-level deployment tasks, production verification, initial on-site support, etc.)

Requirements:

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in IT industry
  • 3+ years experience in business process analysis or similar role

Functional & Technical Skill Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) or variants of such
  • Experience in medium to large scale end-to-end system implementation project lifecycle
  • Experience in writing business analysis documentation (e.g. gap analysis, requirement documents, business process model, functional design, etc.)

Additional Skills (Plus):

  • Technical experience is a plus
  • Experience in system implementation of any of the following platforms is a plus:
    • Siebel Customer Relationship Management
    • PeopleSoft
    • Sharepoint
    • Umbraco CMS
    • SAP
    • etc.

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Ability to work in virtual teams (w/ offshore team members)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to communicate professionally in Mandarin is a plus
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated career progression to date
