Full-Time - Staff Antispam Research Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities:
General Job Description
AntiSpam Research Engineers of the Email Reputation Service team are responsible in creating and maintaining quality AntiSpam solution to protect our customers from threats via Heuristics Technology or Machine Learning
Specific Job Description
- Analyze emails and create heuristics rules for identified spam mails using regular expression to be incorporated in the Trend Micro products
- Test the created heuristics rules to satisfy the set criteria to make sure that it passed all quality assurance testing
- Submit daily/weekly reports that describe the effectiveness of the created heuristics solutions
- Research and document spam trends and techniques
- Support internal customers on their spam related inquiries
Requirements:
- Has very good logic and strong observation skills
- Good computer programming skills
- Knowledge in regular expression and/or PERL programming language is a PLUS
- A degree in Master of Science in Computer Science is a PLUS
- Quality Assurance Experience is a PLUS
- Knowledge in Email Protocols (i.e. RFC822, SMTP) is a PLUS
- Proficient in English
- Willing to work in a shifting schedule and/or willing to be on call
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Outlook Express
