Full-Time - Staff AC/DC Motor Rewinder

Brief Description
A Rewinder is responsible for rewinding electric motors by rewinding the coils on a DC motors. It is a precise task that should only be undertaken by those who have experience in mechanical or electrical repair.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assembles and tests electric motor generator stators, armatures, or rotors.
- Inspects cores for defects and aligns laminations, using hammer drift.
- Files burr from core slots, using hand file, portable power file and scraper.
- Lines slots with sheet insulation insert coils into slots.
- Cuts, strips, and bends wire leads at ends of coils, using pliers wire scrapers.
- Twists lead together to connect coils.
- Taps coil and end windings to shape, using hammer fiber block.
- Tests windings for motor-housing clearance, grounds, and short circuits, using clearance gauge, growler, spring-steel blade, telephone receiver, insulation tester, and Resistance Bridge.
- Winds new coils on armatures, stators, or rotors of used motors generators.
- May rewind defective coils.
- Perform assigned tasks given from time to time.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Vocational Graduate and has the ability to follow instructions.
- At least 3-5 years proven working experience as Rewinder.
- Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges
- Reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations.
